Michelle Carr Photography offers two options when it comes to viewing and ordering your portraits. For local clients, I prefer and recommend “In Person Viewing and Ordering.” Portraits can look very different on various computer monitors that are un-calibrated. Viewing your images in person where you can feel and touch them can make all the difference in the world.

In Person Viewing and Ordering

After the portrait session, we will schedule your viewing and ordering appointment to be conducted in the comfort of your home. It is at this appointment where you will be presented with the session images. First you will view a beautiful slideshow of the images set to music followed by a presentation of the session images. You will be shown 20-30 portraits from the session. The session album and DVD slideshow are also available for purchase.

You will be selecting your portraits at this time; therefore it is advised to have anyone present at this appointment who will be involved in the ordering process. It is also advised to have thought about those portrait needs that you may have such as gifts for family members, desk portraits for your office, as well as walls that you hope to decorate in your beautiful portraits.

I will have made some recommendation pages to show various wall arrangements as well as collage and storyboard layouts in which to choose from. After your order is placed, you may have the option of an online gallery of your session’s images to share with friends and family. This gallery will be available for viewing for 7 days.
Unordered images are purged after 30 days.

Online Viewing and Ordering

Approximately 1.5-2 weeks after your session, I will be in contact with you to arrange for a time frame for your web gallery. Online slideshow and gallery is only available for a 4 day period of time and will expire, so it is important that the dates do not conflict with a time frame that is inconvenient for you.

Once the date of your gallery is set, you will receive an email with a direct link to it. This link, while not password protected, is not public and can only be seen by those individuals who have the link.

Your personalized page will give you directions on how to view the slideshow and gallery as well as how to go about making your selections.

Your gallery will contain 20-30 portraits from the session and a slideshow of your session’s images set to music. The session album and DVD slideshow are also available for purchase.
