Policies

~Your session fee compensates the photographer for her time and talent during your session, and for the post-session work.

~The complete session fee is required upon booking a session date, in order to secure your preferred date and time. Your appointment time has been reserved specifically for you, failing to show up for your scheduled time means that a portrait space has been left unfilled. As a result, missed appointments result in the forfeiture of your session fee. This fee is non-refundable.

~While a potential date may be discussed during our initial conversation, the date is not held for you without payment. Session fee is due within 7 days of booking your selected date. If not received, Michelle Carr Photography reserves the right to offer this session time and date to other clients. Should you wish to reschedule your appointment, another fee is required.

~Rain dates will be scheduled especially for out of town clients.

~If your child is sick, you are required to call to reschedule the session. Michelle will not conduct a session with a sick child. If you need to cancel or reschedule your session you are required to do so within 48 hours of your scheduled session. Excessive rescheduling can not be accommodated.

~ Please bring only the people that will be photographed to the session. Also, please do not bring your own camera, camcorder, or recording device to the session.

~Some pets will not be permitted in a session if Michelle Carr Photography deems it inappropriate. Please consult with Michelle on this matter.

~Extended Family Sessions are subject to additional fees.

~Re-shoots and follow up sessions are at the discretion of the photographer. If Michelle Carr Photography is satisfied with the session, but the client wishes to have a re-shoot or a follow up session, a new session fee is due and no images (or partial for a follow up session) from the first session will be available to order from. If Michelle Carr Photography is unsatisfied with the session and requests a re-shoot or a follow up session, it will be conducted at no additional cost to the client and Michelle Carr Photography may or may not show images from the original session.

~Images shown are at the discretion of Michelle Carr Photography. More images are captured than will be shown. All unacceptable images are discarded immediately and are not available for viewing. There are no additional images that are not shown.

~Basic retouching is included in your session fee. Michelle Carr Photography does offer extensive retouching such as braces removal, blemish healing, etc. at an additional fee per image.

~Online galleries are limited to a period of four (4) days. All orders must be placed by the date of the expiration of the gallery. There is a 50.00 reposting fee that must be paid in full for an additional two (2) day extension of the gallery.

~Print orders are to be made and paid in full at the preview session or by the expiration date of your online gallery. It is highly recommended that you make your purchasing decisions within the allotted time frame.

~Upgrade to the Exclusive Session may only be made within 30 days of your order deadline. Upgrade to the Deluxe Session is not available.

~All images shown in person and online are cropped at 5x7. This is how your image will appear in final 5x7 print form. Due to crop ratios varying, your final image will appear slightly different in other sizes. Michelle will consult you on image sizes and crops.

~All ordered images are kept on file for a period of one year after your initial order. All ordered images are archived after a period of 30 days from the date of the initial order. There is a 50.00 retrieval fee and/or gallery re-posting fee after such time. All unordered images are destroyed.

~Your final print order will be delivered approximately 2-3 weeks after your previewing session. Custom handmade albums and canvases may take up to 4-6 weeks.

~ For payment, I accept cash, checks and all major credit cards. Checks may be made out to Michelle Carr Photography. Payment through PayPal is also available. For your privacy and protection, please do not send credit card information through email or U.S. mail.

~ You are welcome to place a re-print order from the images you originally have purchased. There is a $100 minimum on re-prints.

~Michelle Carr Photography pricing is subject to change without notice. Current pricing is guaranteed for a period of 60 days from the date of your session.

~Handle your portraits with extreme care. Damage incurred as a result of improper handling, framing or hanging is the responsibility of the client. It is the client’s responsibility to inspect all prints, albums and slideshows for satisfaction. Ensure that the slideshow does work on your television and/or computer. Due to the custom nature of each session, all sales final - session books that are purchased are not returnable.

~ Online slideshow and gallery—it is strictly forbidden and against Federal Copyright law to download or save the slideshow and/or images from the online gallery and slideshow. This includes and is not limited to: Save As (saving to hard drive or other device), right click Print (printing directly from the web), and right click Copy Image (copying image to clipboard) and Print Screen. The gallery and slideshow is set to automatically expire if this occurs and will not be reposted under any circumstance.
